Terms of Use
Last updated: July 24, 2026
By using AmigoPDF (“the Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is provided by Rod Sand (“we”, “us”).
1. Use of the Service
AmigoPDF is a free set of browser-based tools for viewing and editing PDF files. It runs on your device; we do not receive or store your files. You may use it for lawful personal or business purposes.
2. Your files remain yours
You retain all rights to the documents you process. Because your files never reach us, we claim no rights over them and take no responsibility for their content. You are responsible for having the right to edit any file you use with the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- process content you do not have the legal right to modify;
- circumvent digital rights management (DRM) or other technical protections on a document — the Service is not designed to and must not be used to remove such protection;
- violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
- attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or overload the Service.
4. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be suitable for a given purpose. Always keep a backup of your original files and verify exported documents before relying on them.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including any corrupted, incomplete, or incorrectly exported document. Because the Service is free and processes files locally, your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using it.
6. Advertising
The Service may display third-party advertising (Google AdSense) to remain free. Advertising cookies are used only with your consent, as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites they link to.
7. Third-party components
The Service uses open-source libraries to read and write PDFs, provided under their own licenses. Those components are provided by their authors without warranty.
8. Changes
We may modify the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts located there, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
