No uploads · no account · files stay on your device

Edit your PDFs right here, not on someone’s server.

Add text, highlights, shapes and your signature. Reorder, merge and split pages. Everything runs inside your browser — your files never leave this device.

Pick a tool

Three focused tools, all working on the same rule: your file is opened in your browser’s memory, changed there, and saved back to your device.

Edit & sign

Type over forms, highlight clauses, draw shapes, and place your handwritten signature on any page.

Merge PDFs

Combine several PDFs into a single file, in exactly the order you choose.

How it works

The whole site is static files. There is no server that could receive your document even if we wanted one.

Pick a file

It opens straight into your browser’s memory. Nothing is transmitted — you can watch the network tab stay silent.

Make your changes

Rendering, editing and page operations all run on your own device, powered by JavaScript and WebAssembly.

Download the result

The new PDF is assembled locally and saved wherever you choose. Close the tab and every trace is gone.

Private by construction, not by promise

Most “free PDF editors” upload your document to their servers. This one can’t.

Questions

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

Yes — you’ll be asked for the password, which is used only inside your browser to decrypt the file. DRM-protected documents (e.g. licensed e-books) are a different thing: the toolkit respects that protection and will not attempt to bypass it.

Is there a file size limit?

No hard limit — it depends on your device’s memory. Documents with hundreds of pages work fine on a typical laptop; very large scanned files may be slow on older phones.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. The tools are touch-first: tap to place text, drag to highlight, and draw your signature with a finger. Open PDFs from your Files app, email attachments, or any cloud storage app via its share/open dialog.

Will my exported PDF lose quality?

No — your original pages are copied into the new file untouched, and annotations are added as vector content on top. The one exception: pages from encrypted sources are flattened to images at export, since they can’t be copied directly.

Can it edit the PDF’s existing text?

Not yet. The editor adds new content on top of pages (text boxes, highlights, shapes, signatures) — which covers form-filling and markup. Rewriting a PDF’s original text streams is a much deeper operation and isn’t supported.

It’s free — how is it funded?

The site shows advertising to cover its costs. Where consent is required (for example in the EEA and UK), a Google-certified consent prompt asks whether you allow ad cookies, and you can change your choice any time via “Privacy settings” in the footer. This is separate from your documents — your PDF files are never uploaded or read by us or advertisers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
